Alastair Chilvers
Music Director
Alastair is a freelance musician and arts education specialist who is particularly passionate about commissioning and conducting new works for young people. He is delighted to be working with the wonderful LYO creative team again for this year’s opera!
Maggie Rawlinson
Stage Director & Choreographer
As a creative associate of LYO, Maggie has had the pleasure of working on over a dozen productions for the company to date. Her first production was with Annilese Miskimmon as Movement Director on Shadowtracks and since then she has collaborated with six other stage directors. She is delighted to be both directing and choreographing this year’s commission.
Neil Irish
Set Designer
Neil trained in Birmingham and later at The Slade. Recent productions Hansel and Gretel and Rigoletto (Opera Holland Park, London); Amadigi, La Boheme and The Golden Cockerel (English Touring Opera); A Tale of Two Cities (Chung Ying Hong Kong and China tour): Canterbury Tales and Henry V (Guildford Shakespeare Company); and The Short Long Drop (Vanguard London).
Anett Black
Costume Designer
Anett has decades of experience in costume design for theatre and opera. After graduating from the London College of Fashion (MA in Costume), she is known for creating captivating costumes hailed by The Times as ‘the best of all’.
